Learn about this dynamic IAS officer, Srushti Deskmukh

Srushti has begun preparing for the UPSC exam in her third-year in engineering. When she graduated she was unsure if she could be happy with her engineering job. Her goal became apparent as she focused more on the civil job. She was encouraged by her parents to consider careers in civil services and get ready for the exams. She stayed motivated and determined to become an IAS officer. To be eligible for UPSC the candidate must do more. While she was studying for her engineering classes She also had to study for different subjects of UPSC. The exam preparation took up all day long. In only one and a quarter months, she was studying for engineering exams, and avoided all contact with people. Her belief is that staying focused solely on what needs to be done is key to passing this exam. Her efforts were arduous to attain her goal to pass the test on her the first attempt. Daily, she would read the newspapers to stay abreast on the current news. Rajya Sabha TV, online studies and resources proved to be a great help for her.
