Yael is an Australian who lives in New York City, played Lorna in Orange Is the New Black. Yael was awarded her NIDA diploma. Yael had the privilege from a very young age to have worked with Australia's premier storytellers and performers along with creative directors working in the television, film and theatre industry. Yael's work is well-known and thriving in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael relocated from Australia to New York City after the Brooklyn Academy of Music's staging of the play had a critical successful. Yael was co-founder of The Cannery. The Cannery supports innovative ideas in writing and also creative projects in its Bushwick studio.
